So just to let you all know these are the HOOKS to get and the brand to use. OWNER kicks some serious butt. I just wanted to mention these and review them for you to give you some help choosing a Flounder jighead. These are the 3/8oz Owner Ultrahead Football style jig head with a 1/0 owner hook.
The hook is incredibly sharp and maintains that razor sharp point over time and many uses. I have never seen the hook rust at all. The bonus is that these are all unpainted so you can paint your own.
In all honest these is the best type of jig in my opinion to use while Flounder fishing. Match this jig head with a Pink, White or Chartreuse Gulp Swim Mullet or Shrimp and you are going to take them out!!!
I caught all of these with the above mention rig in addition to about 7 more and not once did the hook slip. I know this isn't a major review like a rod or reel but trust me when I tell you this is the perfect size/weight and action for the flatties.
