ODU/Little Creek Jetty

Today was an interesting day. It was windy, sunny, weird tide and even clouds and rain. Patrick, Joe, his son and myself all launched out of the surf by Ships Cabin and made our way to ODU Reef. We all posted up close to the buoy but nothing except for croaker! Well, everyone except Patrick who hooked up onto a nice shark.

After that little stint at the reef, in which we all had more croaker than we wanted. We decided to hit up the Jetty on Little Creek. The action started up and we were in thick with Reds. Patrick pulled in at least 9, wall in the Slot mark and he brought home a few. I was getting pissed because I couldnt catch any! I did hook up into a monster blue and he bit the leader off as I was getting him to the boat. It was awesome! Video Below!

After that Loss I tried my hand at Reds again since Patrick decided to show off. I started getting irritated and made my way down the jetty and of course as I set on a drift I get that familiar thump and pull of my Flounder friend. I seriously think Im a better flounder fisherman than specks and reds because I almost always catch a keeper or two. This bad boy was 19.5 inches!!! Hell ya!

After the flounder I decided to head back in and what do you know..... Mr.Ray decided to show up. This time I got video of him.....they are a ton of fun and definitley put my Battle 5000/Shimano Teramar to the test but the combo handled it with ease.
