I decided to go to West Creek today. I though the wind wouldnt be as bad as Back Bay. That was a best, nice and windy and cold to boot! I got to the creek and launched around 1430. Paddled a bit and hit some stumps and brush with no luck. About an hour into it I started taking pictures of nesting Osprey and Hawks....next thing I know PLOP! there goes my camera into the water. It was only 3-4 ft but it was cold and I wasnt going to jump in the water. It was one of my best cameras! Waterproof/shockproof/HD Vid. This was the Camera I lost and I am bummmmmmed!

I started to head back after trying for another hour and remembered what a buddy said about the tall grass. I threw a Rapala X-Rap Saltwater Fishing lure (Silver , Size- 4)
and hooked up! A nice sized Bass! I battled with it for a good minute before getting it close to the boat! Alas, it wasnt meant to be and it shook its head and spit the hook. I decided I should cut my losses and head back in and go home.
